General FAQ
At AI4Kids, we are real-world AI practitioners dedicated to preparing your children for the future. Most AI courses simply teach kids how to use AI Tools, but our curriculum teaches them how to build AI and Machine Learning Models. This is a crucial distinction that positions children as future leaders and innovators rather than just end-users, ensuring they develop highly valuable 21st-century skills.
Gartner foresees that by 2028, 95% of enterprises will deploy GenAI in production and 33% of enterprise software applications will include agentic AI capabilities, a significant jump from less than 1% in 2024. Our 3-year framework is specifically designed to ultimately teach children to build these autonomous AI agents themselves.
We use a structured cognitive development journey based on Bloom's Learning Stages and computational thinking science. Over 36 months, kids progress from asking "What is AI?" to designing AI Agents:
• Level 1 (Year 1): AI-SENSING (The Explorer). We focus on teaching computers to "See, hear, understand". Students build smart apps that react to the real world using Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, and Data Understanding. For example, they will build their own computer vision Rock Paper Scissors game, train voice recognition models, understand Text Sentiment, and program Edge AI devices using a Micro:bit.
• Level 2 (Year 2): AI-FORECASTING (The Detective). We teach kids to "Recognize patterns, predict futures". This involves Pattern Recognition, Data Analysis, and Machine Learning basics, where students will learn to analyse data to predict trends.
• Level 3 (Year 3): AI-Agent (The Innovator). We focus on how to "Design AI Agents". Students learn Agent Design, Problem Solving, and Ethical AI, ultimately creating AI that can plan and solve problems independently.
While we highly recommend the full 3-year progression for maximum cognitive development, the program is structured in yearly cohorts. Students begin their journey with the Year 1 cohort to build foundational AI-sensing skills. You can see the results and your child's engagement before deciding to scale into the Year 2 and Year 3 programs.
Our curriculum uses a heavily project-based, hands-on approach. You won't just see test scores; you will see the actual AI models and games your child builds, such as a gesture-controlled Magic Door or a Fridge Alarm system.
At (http://concepts.At)the end of each module, students must complete a quiz that assesses their understanding of the material. Successfully passing this test demonstrates mastery of the concepts taught. Upon passing, students are awarded a certificate that recognizes their achievement and proficiency in the specific course module, providing a valuable credential that reflects their commitment and knowledge gained through AI4Kids' fun and professional learning environment.
Furthermore, Level 1 culminates in a Capstone Project. Acting as real-world consultants, your child will use professional Agile methodologies to plan, design, and build a functional Machine Learning prototype from scratch. At the end of the project, they will deliver a live 5-minute demo and a "What I Learned" presentation to their parents and peers, giving you direct visibility into their mastery of the concepts.
AI4Kids is a premium, specialized program that commands a higher rate than traditional tutoring. While exact pricing is set by our partner tutor centres, it typically ranges between AUD 250 to 350 per month.
Our classes are hosted through a network of partner tutor centres, which run multiple AI cohorts (such as Afternoon, or Weekend classes). You will need to check with your local participating centre for their specific enrolment dates, waitlists, and upcoming cohort launches. AI4Kids provides two flexible learning options to suit different needs: online modules and tutor center delivered modules. The online modules allow students to learn at their own pace through interactive, self-guided lessons accessible anytime and anywhere, making it ideal for those who prefer flexible scheduling and independent study. In contrast, the tutor center delivered modules offer in-person instruction with direct support from qualified tutors, fostering a more interactive environment where students can ask questions in real time and receive hands-on guidance. Both formats cover the same comprehensive AI curriculum designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, but the tutor center option provides additional personalized support and a collaborative learning atmosphere that benefits students who thrive with direct interaction. Choosing between them depends on your child's learning style and your scheduling preferences, ensuring every student has the opportunity to have fun while mastering AI concepts.
At AI4Kids, our online courses are designed to provide flexible and interactive learning experiences tailored to each student’s needs. We offer two main formats: personalized one-on-one training sessions and dynamic online group classes. The one-on-one sessions allow for individualized attention and customized pacing, ensuring that students can deeply understand AI concepts at their own speed. Alternatively, our group classes foster collaboration and peer learning in a structured virtual environment, making it engaging and fun. Both formats utilize easy-to-access online platforms, enabling students to learn from anywhere while receiving expert guidance from experienced instructors. This approach ensures that every child can enjoy learning AI in a way that suits their preferences and learning style.
